About this trial

Help shape the future of the cancer research study

Cancer affects close to one million Australians over any given ten-year period, making it one of the country's most significant health challenges. Developing new medicines to treat cancer is a long and carefully managed process, and one of the most important early steps is understanding how healthy adults process an investigational medicine under controlled conditions.

This is exactly what this study sets out to do. Before a potential new cancer medicine can move forward in development, researchers need to understand how the body absorbs, processes, and responds to it. By taking part as a healthy volunteer, you are helping to lay the groundwork for treatments that could one day benefit cancer patients across Australia and beyond.

This cancer research study does not require a cancer diagnosis. It is open to healthy adults who meet the eligibility criteria and are comfortable with a short in-clinic stay at our Maroochydore clinic.
This study involves a single in-clinic stay of approximately 5–6 days at our Maroochydore clinic. There is no placebo, everyone receives the investigational medicine. Close monitoring by our experienced medical team takes place throughout your stay.

treatment design

All eligible participants receive the investigational medicine; there is no placebo in this study. The medicine is taken as a tablet or capsule in a single dose during your in-clinic stay.
You will first attend a screening visit to confirm your eligibility. If suitable, you will then stay at our Maroochydore facility for approximately 5–6 days, during which the research team will closely monitor how your body responds to and processes the medicine. All procedures will be explained clearly, and participants can ask questions at any time.
