About this trial

A new approach to restoring balance in the immune system against autoimmune diseases

Immune-mediated and autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis, occur when the immune system mistakenly attacks the body, causing persistent pain, skin irritation, discomfort, and reduced quality of life. In Australia, arthritis alone affects around 3.7 million people, and psoriasis impacts over 600,000 individuals. For many, standard treatments don't provide full relief, leaving them searching for better options.

This autoimmune disease clinical trial is evaluating a potential investigational therapy designed to restore balance in the immune system, rather than broadly suppressing it. By understanding how the body processes the medication, how it affects immune function, and whether the body develops antibodies to it, researchers hope to pave the way for more targeted treatment advances for people living with these conditions.
This is an open-label study, meaning everyone receives the investigational treatment. There is no placebo group, making this one of the more straightforward trial commitments for people already living with these conditions.

treatment design

All eligible participants receive a single dose of the investigational treatment by injection; there is no placebo group in this study. Following the injection, participants will be monitored through regular clinic visits over 18 weeks of follow-up, with a final phone check-in at approximately week 18. The study also includes up to 4 weeks of screening at the start. All procedures will be explained clearly, and participants can ask questions at any time.
